IMF raises Russia’s GDP growth forecast for 2017, 2018
WASHINGTON, Oct 10 (PRIME) -- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has raised the forecast for Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth for 2017 and 2018 to 1.8% and 1.6%, respectively, from 1.4% per year, according to a report released on Tuesday.
The forecasts were revised on the back of strengthening of financial stability, a faster than expected inflation decrease, production growth and strengthening of the national currency.
